Requirements for Starting and Stopping Sealless Self priming Pumps

Before installing an unsealed self priming pump device, it is necessary to check the fasteners of the unit for looseness and whether there are foreign objects blocking the flow channel of the pump body to avoid damaging the impeller and pump body during pump operation. Pipeline components should not be added to the pump during installation to avoid deformation of the pump. It is necessary to tighten the anchor bolts when installing the device to avoid excessive vibration during startup, which may affect the pump's function. For the convenience of repair and safety of use, a regulating valve is installed on the inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump, and a pressure gauge is attached at the pump outlet to ensure operation within the additional head and flow range, extending the service life of the pump. After the device is installed, the pump shaft should be moved, and the impeller should be free of friction or jamming. Otherwise, the pump should be disassembled to investigate the cause.

Starting and stopping requirements for unsealed self priming pumps. Before starting, prepare to check if the motor rotates correctly. From the top of the motor to the pump, it rotates clockwise. The trial run time should be short to avoid damage to the mechanical seal due to dry wear. Open the exhaust valve to fill the entire pump body with liquid, and close the exhaust valve when it is full. Check if all parts are normal. Manually rotate the pump to allow lubricant to enter the mechanical seal face. Start and fully open the inlet valve. Close the outlet pipeline valve. Start the motor and observe if the pump is running correctly. Adjust the opening of the outlet valve to the required working condition. If the user installs a flow meter or pressure gauge at the pump outlet, the outlet valve should be adjusted to operate the pump at the additional points listed in the functional parameter table. After adjusting the opening of the outlet valve, the motor current of the pump should be measured to operate the electric motor within the additional current. Otherwise, it will cause the pump to overload and cause the motor to burn out. Adjusting the opening degree of the outlet valve is related to the pipeline condition.

The reason why an unsealed self priming pump does not discharge water after starting is because there is air inside the pump or air accumulation in the inlet pipe; Insufficient sealing of the bottom valve and insufficient water filling, severe leakage of vacuum pump packing; The gate valve or buckle door is not tightly closed. We need to remove debris, replace damaged rubber pads, and change the direction of the valve blades; Compress or replace with new packing, close the gate valve or buckle door; Increase the amount of water filled until there are no bubbles at the vent plug; Replace cracked pipe water; Lower the head and press the nozzle of the self priming pump 0.5 meters underwater.
